Procedures Manual

The Highway Safety Office mission is to develop a comprehensive highway safety plan, procure and administer Federal funds, and coordinate highway safety activities to conduct a comprehensive and effective District-wide highway safety program to meet the District’s vision and goal.

The purpose of this Manual is to establish program and project management procedures for sub grants, Interagency Agreements, and contracts in support of the District of Columbia’s Highway Safety Program, as required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

In April, 2011 the DC HSO Procedures Manual was completed. Every effort will be made to update the manual whenever a change or revision is made to the grant process.
